I have been working on Isaiah 40:31 this week and have made great progress. In fact, I have almost finished the cross stitching. This is what it looks like:
The mountains have been fun to stitch. I don’t like the pine trees quite as much. They seem a little out of place to me. However there needs to be something there to fill in the blank space on that side and I don’t know what would look better. I am excited to finish the trees and startback stitching.
I have also worked on Our Family Tree for its one day. This is what it looks like:
I am happy with my progress on this tonight. The tree is close to being given finished and the all that is left in the vignette is the half-stitched hills and clouds in the background.
What intricate designs!
How do you find stitching in a linear method with multiple colors? How does it compare with just stitching with one color at a time?
I like it a lot better. It makes the stitching go more quickly. I have a hard time stitching one color at a time because with complicated designs I can’t “see” the individual colors well enough to know where to start and stop with one color. With this way I only have to worry about one block, which I can “see” a lot easier.
